Abstract

Iqra is a simple guide consisting of volumes 1 to 6 to make it easier to learn to read the Quran quickly and practically. Religious education must be applied from kindergarten to adulthood. One of the subjects regarding religious education is an understanding of the guidelines of life, namely the holy book. In Islam, the guideline for life is the Qur'an. The letters used in the Qur'an are Arabic letters, so that as Indonesians it will be difficult to learn them, unless they are taught since elementary school to learn Iqra. In fact, Indonesian children who are predominantly Muslim, many of whom are hijaiyah illiterate, do not understand how to read the letters of the Qur'an. Supriyono (2012) in his journal entitled "Design of Hadith Learning Applications for Android-Based Mobile Devices" Technological developments, especially on Smartphones, are very rapid, especially with the emergence of Android-based smartphones which have resulted in a decline in early childhood interest in Iqra as a learning medium. Android is the technology used in making Iqra learning media that is effective and stimulates early childhood learning motivation which contains hijaiyah letters and sounds. The development of the Qur'an reader community makes checking the Qur'an through smartphones even more necessary and this system can recognize the user's reading of the Qur'an and check its correctness based on the applicable tajwid rules. Nugroho (2015) in his journal entitled "Educational Game Recognition of Body Members and Number Recognition for Special Needs (ABK) Kinect-Based Mental retardation" revealed that many learning methods have been used and all of them refer to one of the principles that is easy to remember and accept by children. mentally retarded child.
